Don’t lose your first gunfight by shooting yourself during training

1. All guns are loaded.

Even if you know you have unloaded the pistol, assume that when you pull the trigger it will go off. This way you should never knowingly violate rule #2.

2. Don’t point the gun at anything you are not willing to shoot.

Pretend the gun has a laser beam coming out of the barrel and anything it touches gets shot.

3. Keep your trigger finger straight along the frame until you are on target and ready to fire.

When handling the gun keep your trigger finger along the frame and away from the trigger until the muzzle is pointing at the target.

4. Know your target and its surroundings.

You are responsible for all the rounds you fire. Train for accuracy. It is unacceptable to miss your target and hit innocent victims surrounding your target.
